We’re back for another season of catechetics, recreation, and community building! For more than 30 years our Confirmation Camp Program has been jointly operated by Lutheran congregations of the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and Southern Interior of BC. The program is led and subscribed to voluntarily by congregations and individuals who pool their talents and resources. It is intended to complement other forms of ministry, for the benefit of young people poised at a new phase of faith and life. Over the years, the leadership team has developed a curriculum and a process for making this a vital and ongoing ministry of the church.
Confirmation camp is divided into four levels:

Level 1 (For those beginning a confirmation program in the fall): Will study Baptism, Holy Communion, the Ten Commandments, and Prayer. This level provides a supportive and encouraging start to confirmation studies.

Level 2 (For those currently in a confirmation program): Will study the Creed: God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Church. Students in Level 2 focus on faith and what it means for daily living.

Level 3 (For those who have just recently been confirmed): Will study our public affirmation of faith (Affirmation of Baptism Service, Evangelical Lutheran Worship, p. 234) and how it relates to life – living among God’s people, hearing God’s word and sharing the supper, proclaiming good news, serving, striving for justice and peace.

Level 4 (For those who have and have not attended Level 4 before, preferably have gone through previous levels): Will emphasize leadership in the life of the Christian community. Registration limited to twelve participants.
