Kathy is a 4th year music student doing a Double Major in Piano Performance and Vocal Performance at Trinity Western University. She has sung in many choirs, including Trinity Western University’s Chamber Choir, Chamber Singers, Renaissance Singers, Vocal Jazz, as well as the Valley Festival Singers of Abbotsford.
Kathy has accompanied the Trinity Western University’s Concert Choir, as well as instrumentalists, vocalists and vocal students alike. Since 2014, Kathy has taught piano and voice in her studio, Kathy’s Musical Journey, leading children and adults to discover the gift of music. She has been the manager, a singer within the ensemble, and an active accompanist for the British Columbia Youth Choir. It has allowed her to appreciate how bringing music into other individuals lives can truly enrich their mind, body and soul.
Aside from having performed internationally in Ottawa and New York at the prestigious Carnegie Hall, as well as in China and Hong Kong, Kathy has had the privilege of participating in the 2018 National Youth Choir of Canada; representing her province with great pride as a section leader. That being said, Kathy is also musically active as the Assistant Conductor for the Valley Festival Singers. Her focus is to incorporate meaning and joy in the special music taking place at Peace Lutheran Church. Kathy believes that music is both a privilege and a gift worth sharing and keeping alive.
